ANMCV mission visits the delegation in São Vicente and the headquarters of the Healthy Cities Unit in Cape Verde

The President of the Directive Council of the National Association of Cape Verdean Municipalities (ANMCV), Herménio Fernandes, the President of the General Council, Clara Marques, and other members of ANMCV – Mayor of Ribeira Brava, Mayor of São Salvador do Mundo, Presidents of the Assembly and Municipal Council of Santa Cruz, made a visit to the delegation of ANMCV in São Vicente, having been received by the local responsible and Coordinator of the Healthy Cities Program, Helena Rebelo Rodrigues.

The agenda included the effective delegation of competencies with the purpose of better serving the municipalities of the northern region of the country and the elaboration process of the Strategic Plan of the Healthy Cities Programme, already in progress.

It should be noted that the Healthy Cities Programme is a commitment reaffirmed by the mayors/municipal leaders, prioritising, within the strategic agenda, the structuring of healthy and sustainable urban centres supported by support, partnerships, networking, putting their experience and resources at the service of this important strategic aim.
